The Classroom recommended by Joshua

The Classroom is a novel that includes pictures in it.  It is about a boy named Trevor who is having trouble making it through the beginning of middle school and making new friends.  I recommend this book to anyone who likes realistic fiction or illustrations in novels.  Also, The Classroom has things that some people may have gone through like making new friends in middle school or being bullied.  The Classroom is filled with seriousness and humor all at the same time.  This book is really good for anyone in middle school or elementary school who is interested in realistic fiction.

They form a band and become great friends. How did they do it? School! Will their band work? Will Tanya get better? How does the word “Zebrafish” has to do with anything?! Figure out in the book Zebrafish by Peter H. Reynolds.

Raina has to deal with friends, family, braces, school, and much more. This whole process takes 4 years. So read the book and find out what happens to her. Pinch Hit by Tim Green recommended by Will R.

Pinch Hit is an amazing book about 2 boys.  One is a rich movie star. His name is Trevor.  The other is a poor, amazing baseball player.  His name is Sam.  Sam wants to be an actor. Trevor wants to be a baseball player.  Sam’s dad has him try out for Trevor’s understudy.  He does and he makes it.  When they see each other, they know they MUST be related.  So they decide, they want to switch lives.  For 2 weeks because Sam doesn’t think that Trevor will be good enough to lead his team to the championship and win MVP so he can win a free spot in the USC Elite Training Center.  But the tournament comes earlier than they expected.  So will Trevor do it?  Will he make MVP for Sam?  Or can they switch back in time without anyone noticing?  You will have to read this book to find out.

Soccerland recommended by Grace

Soccerland is written by Beth Choat. The only reason I memorized the author’s name is because I kept looking at it on the cover, wondering how someone could create such a masterpiece. Soccerland was just that good. It is about a girl named Flora Dupre, who lives in Northern Maine, but without her mother, who died of cancer just 2years before. She is in 8th grade and is a very talented and very passionate soccer player. She and she coach have been trying for months to get her invited to an ID camp, where they will evaluate your skills and pick players to be on their U-15 team. If you get on that team, you have a better shot of playing for the US Women’s National team, like Flora promised her mother she would do on the day she died. Flora gets invited to the camp and is thrilled. She can almost taste her dream, when on the first day, she realizes that she is not the only good player there. There are 99 other girls who want the same thing she does. Flora has to fight to hold on to her promise to her mother, all the while, dealing with stuck up bullies, a really cute guy, finding friends, a family crisis, and a frustrating coach.

So, what would YOU do if you we’re fighting for a nearly (it seems like) impossible dream???????

Wonder-recommended by: Rebekah

This book is in different people’s view. For example the first part of the book is in August’s point of view. There are eight parts to the book. If I had to rate this book from one to ten I would say ten because I could not put it down. I read for hours! The main character in this book is August he is deformed on his face. August goes by Auggie most of the time in the book. You should read this book because it might change how you look at other people.
